First flight from Sunday - Aerotech F50 with the updated piston'd clam shell nose cone. Hard to see in the very, very zoomed-in video but looks like the nose tangled a little with the parachute cord - still hit the ground slow enough to not cause any damage.
Not perfect, but ok..

Second attempt with the clam shell nose cone on an AeroTech F50 - also did not go well 😁🚀🪦 Unfortunately due to battery issues on the day I didn't manage to capture any data from this flight, so no data overlays for this one...

First attempt on a AeroTech F27-4. Not great - deployment charge seemed to go off early - you can see black smoke just before the nose is ejected. The nose itself also broke apart and 'helicoptered' off.

On the plus side, the parachute did inflate but clearly more work to do..

Data viz and video from the November MRC (Aerotech F50). The flight phase detection is based on heuristics developed from October's flights and happens in real time on the onboard computer - just changes the beeper pattern but should be a good base build on.🚀 #rocket #dataviz
