I’ve been IMMENSELY influenced by old Hollywood films such as Some like it hot, Bringing Up Baby and Arsenic and Old Lace. (Of course there are new onces, too)

To conclude, crackfics should be appreciated more because contrary to popular belief, they’re pretty hard to write to really deliver 😁☺️

Comedy is all about creating insane situations and making your characters behave very seriously in those situations. It’s less about making your characters funny. They can be very un-funny and just be put into Situations and that’s the best thing!

First, you need a good command of language to play with it: the gags, puns and punchlines. You need a sense of rhythm to know when to deliver those so that it hits the goal without being too much. You need to treat your characters with utmost care.

Oh I hope it’ll pass soon… we’ve had a lot of the same in the fam these weeks. On top of everything else.
