I think something a lot of people miss about the steam cube is that it essentially is the modern G4 cube. like if it really performs that well in such a small footprint, it very well is a computer worth $1,000

i've been hearing from a lot of CS grads my age about how fucked the job market is for them, meanwhile i'm a soft dropout because my degree would be functionally useless for getting a job *despite* the fact i took this path because of bullshit IT certs
it feels like academia and i have mutual hate.

throwback to when i was a kid and installed this thing called Flyakite OSX on WinXP, which did indeed make XP look somewhat like OS X, but it also contained a trojan that randomly opened porn sites and ads... which my mom was not happy about

i've been using circle guides for a while and pre-drawing primitive designs in GIMP but i feel like i could be doing far better/using software dedicated to minecraft builds

file system is read only. the fuck?
learn that windows does weird shit with hibernation/fast boot
run e2fsck as root and blindly press yes to everything
the drive now correctly mounts as read-write.
such are the pitfalls of dual booting

i think if the democrats had dug in their heels and said "this is the epstein shutdown. trump is starving the country because he doesn't want the epstein files to come out" they probably could have ended him. so it was very kind of them to not do that
