This is my first type 2 cross as I experiment with breeding. I've already collected pollen from a male that was more vigorous and much taller than this female. I have started 6x Hoku's "Alpha Sour" type 3 plants and the best will be pollinated with this type 2 pollen.

Today's harvest. Our second late summer bloom is nearly over. I moved the indoor strawberries outside because they had bugs. Not pests, they weren't harming anything, just living in the soil. Well, they are back where they belong now.

CBD Auto Charlotte's Angel harvested on day 73. In the second photo you can see some of the mature type 2 seeds emerging from their calyxes. I had to hold her up with three bamboo stakes and a series of twine supports. She smells very much like sweet overripe fruit.

CBD Auto Charlotte's Angel day 67. She's almost done and has begun to sag all around from the weight of her branches. She is stacking foxtails despite being far enough away from my lights to not be stressed. So far, the best yielding CBD autoflower I've grown.

CBD Auto Charlotte's Angel day 35. She surprised me by continuing to stretch to average size despite showing preflower so early. I've started pollinating a test branch for type 2 seeds.

Dutch Passion - CBD Auto Charlotte’s Angel. Unfortunately this girl started to preflower too early. This means she is likely to finish fast and stay small. I will be pollinating her with type 1 pollen when she is ready to produce some type 2 seeds.

Strawberries #5, 6, and 7 from the indoor plant. They are getting bigger as the plant gets bigger. I'm hoping this trend continues as the first fruits were disappointing in their size.

I've been hand pollinating the strawberry flowers, and it looks like I've been successful. You can see a little pollen dust next to the dropped withered petals in the first photo. The discoloration in the leaves is from the wrong PH level in my untreated Happy Frog soil.

I harvested Purplematic CBD at day 77. After eleven days or so of drying she will be ready to trim and cure. Unfortunately right now instead of starting another type 3 seed I am still trying to find at least one type 1 autoflower male from "regular" seed packs.

The weaker strawberry plant died and the stronger one is thriving. I tried planting a new one in the same place, but all my leftover plants seemed dried out and possibly dead already. I may need to order more, as it is almost time to plant outdoors.

Purplematic CBD day 68. She's nearly done and I just need to check on trichomes over the coming days. I'm looking at this and other strains I'll grow in the future for potential partners to create type II seeds with.

I finally found a garden center that ships strawberries before Spring officially starts. I've got two planted in the tent and will maybe plant more outdoors. Patience pays off, the one on the right didn't look alive for days before it finally sprouted a green leaf.

Red Pure CBD Auto was ready to a little harvest earlier, but I let it fatten up to 76 days. Like a lot of autoflowers I've tried before, it started to foxtail at the end from the intense LED light. Not extremely pungent. A mild sweet fruity terpene profile.

Purplematic CBD. This is Royal Queen Seeds equivalent to Sweet Seeds Red Pure CBD Auto. The basic stats are the same, indica, CBD dominant, purple flowering, roughly 15-17% CBD. It will be a couple months before I know if I prefer one strain over the other.

Fungus grows faster than plants do. This hopefully beneficial fungi exploded in growth from the bottom side of my Purplematic CBD pot. My friend, the expert, says it looks like a crust fungus. I can smell the healthy mycelium, and it smells just like a mushroom growing bag when the soil is dry.

My second grow of Sour RNA Seedless. This time I used a paperclip wedged between the top two colas to hopefully keep them from developing a flattened side when fully grown. I'm also gambling for a different terpene profile this time. First time was GG dominant, maybe ERB#4 dominant now?

Honey Peach Auto CBD has finished curing. This is a very terpene laden strain which was difficult to trim because I'm so sensitive. I'm hoping to try out more 1:1 type II strains so I don't always have to mix a type I and type III to achieve the same results.
