Apparently this isn’t an onion parody. I’m not up on my American papers, but is the NYP like the UKs Sport? Think they did the same here with Jeremy Corbyn, going after his flat cap and allotment jams.

I mean I’d vote for higher taxes, free stuff, hating Israel’s genocidal actions and vibes too.

Just want to shout out to @ntcouncilteam.bsky.social who’ve quietly launched the new website- from the confusing mess and collection of PDFs for bin day to this lovely little fella

This is the Newcastle metro map- 11 years between Byker and Ponteland. (Study was pre covid, so I’d dread to see it now) Glasgow also has a similar grim infographic.

In Northumberland it’s 16 years within 5 miles. I’m really angry but not sure even where to place it.

On the weekend of international women’s day, it was a privilege to watch so many amazing girl judoka’s.

Kiddo is a British Judo Schools National Bronze medalist- even though she was the youngest, smallest and lowest grade in her group. Mega proud.

Lady Constance Lytton. daughter of the first Earl of Lytton, Viceroy of India.

She lobbed a stone at Lloyd George’s car visiting Newcastle. She was done for assault and disorderly behaviour.

Why has it become a case of racing to the bottom to kill the most vulnerable people?
What about shutting tax ‘loopholes’ first?

I’m kind of hoping for this model. (Titles are a bit wild though!)

Some folk should be expert designers, whilst others are better suited to managing teams. Seen examples are excellent designers sucking at people and visa versa.

Fish and Chips by pitman painter Fred Laidler, c. 1948. Reimagined in 2016 by a local photographer of Fred’s local chippy in Ashington, Northumberland.
Nee idea if the fish is any good though.

Got the privilege to attend the Baltic Preview of the ‘We all came here from somewhere’ exhibition, to hear the stories and talents of our new neighbours, as my daughter is her School of Sanctuary ambassador.

I’m immensely proud and 100% convinced she’ll working at the UN in the future.

Spotted on the Metro. Well done Tyne and Wear Fire Service, brilliant translation of human actions to planetary cost.
Want to see this with ‘every data centre we build for storing *literally the same data* across government increases carbon footprint. We have x amount of instances of same data’

Halloween craft day. Hoping to get more beetlejuice themed chaos out in front yard tomorrow.

My neighbours already think we’re the weird house and I’m leaning in heavy this year.

What does this even mean? ‘People in general’, what’s general? my mates who grew up on the same estate as me? Or compared to the people I’ve met along the way, like who have live in many’s for their kids?
Why can’t they just ask do you consider yourself working class?
