Our libraries even carry video games, and the fact that I got to play Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 the year it came out and was able to be part of that conversation for FREE!! Libraries!

They're such a universal good that conservatives would say they would never work if they didn't already exist

I was going to say the difference might be reading discovery is more algorithmically driven than music discovery, but given the ubiquity of "[artist/vibe] radio" on streaming platforms makes me doubt that/assume I'm over indexing the number of people who search for stuff like I do

That makes sense, but I think points 1 and 2 are more comparable than you'd expect; studies I'm aware of show most people struggle to identify AI vs non-AI music, and there is a brand of formulaic pop with a passive audience that would absolutely be a target for these grifters

Sky Team is SO good, and Flip 7 is so simple pretty much anyone can enjoy it!

I haven't gotten a chance to try the Gang yet though

Thank you for making cool art that the world needs more of!

Everything I know about my wife's stories corroborates this, except it was about Warrior Cats on the Neopets forums, rather than actually being about Neopets

Yes, we have a massive box of Warrior Cats books somewhere in the house, I keep waiting for the day in which we end up book club-ing them all

I'm enjoying Wildfrost, but the game is quite hard for a cute looking deckbuilder (image from PC gamer)! I find the way the game counters snow a bit odd & blunt where it has enemies that don't allow the effect to stack, even if you focus on it. We'll see if this stays a frustration as I play more

I had started NitW & GoW previously, & have enjoyed going back to them! Very different but both quite good, even if I'm terrible at GoW's combat.

I understand why anyone might bounce off NitW, but as a formerly depressed & lost teen/young adult, I can't help but connect with Mae.

First round of cuts got rid of 23% of the rules, which sounds good, until you look at the total of 89 pages still 😅 not bad for a first go though, and looking forward to using playtesting to help assess what isn't absolutely necessary further

"It's an ashcan, I don't need progression systems at all'

"Yeah but the progression system(s) drive scenes and character motivation! Are you sure??"

Turns out whether past you makes smart or dumb decisions, future you is gonna have to deal with them regardless

"The Great Brindish Bay-ke Off"?

I had sent this to my wife when it was first announced! I should make sure she knows this is live!!

Monty - Novo Amor & Yvette Young (from Covet)

I've always enjoyed Novo Amor, but did not expect this collab, and really love the lush variety of sounds they explore. You can hear Yvette's melodic dynamism in the hook and the surrounding bleeps and bloops in a cohesive bop

Every Dollar - Joseph Terrell

I'm still exploring his discography, but this song is a simple, touching one that feels like its always existed, in the best way. Timely and timeless, a touching in its minimalism

Au Pays du Cocaine - Geese

Normally the lines of "Like a sailor in a big green boat/like a sailor in a big green coat" would be embarrassing, but the despair, pleading in the delivery and *need* in Cameron's voice just makes it all work

👋 it's me! Definitely not following Charlie firstly for his music takes

This is cool! If I'm reading it right, performance is sort of the core system? Is that the main way music is incorporated into the game?
