My university had one of those guys (Phillipe Rushton).
First-year psychology students who took Rushton's classes said that he had conducted a survey of students' sexual habits in 1988, asking "such questions as how large their penises are, how many sex partners they have had, and how far they can ejaculate".[50] First-year psychology students at the University of Western Ontario are required "to participate in approved surveys as a condition of their studies. If they choose not to, they must write one research paper. Also, many students feel subtle pressure to participate in order not to offend professors who may later be grading their work. However, if a study is not approved, these requirements do not apply at all."[50] For his failing to tell students they had the option not to participate in his studies without incurring additional work, the university barred Rushton for two years from using students as research subjects. He had tenure at UWO.

A picture of home from a few years ago. This creek is next to where I grew up. Both as a kid and now, it was one of my favourite rambles. The beavers were quite busy building the ecosystem.
A beaver dam made of primarily small branches. Many of them are red, suggesting they used red osier (Cornus sericea) in the construction. Behind the dam a large pond is forming, and is raising the water up perhaps a metre and a half higher than the natural elevation of the creek. The creek is surrounded by trees that are just starting to bud and form their first leaves; if you look carefully at the ground at the creek edge, you can see white trilliums (Trillium grandiflorum) in bloom.

I was particularly struck by this passage. I'm possibly reading too much into "promotion," but I thought the metaphor was telling. Don't worry everyone, I'm in the *ultimate* content studio now, and I'll still be working for you.
As Kelly Dearmore reported for the Dallas Observer: On Sunday, Sept. 14, Prestonwood Baptist Church, the giant conservative enclave in Plano, got downright creepy during one of its morning services. Lead pastor Jack Graham, a longtime, vocal supporter of President Donald Trump, called Kirk "a martyr" before adding, "I want you to hear what Charlie is saying regarding what happened to him earlier this week." As an image Kirk's face and an American flag appeared on large video screens, an Al version of Kirk's voice started by saying, "First, I want you to know that I am fine, not because my body is fine, but because my soul is secure in Christ. Death is not the end. It's a promotion. Don't waste one second mourning me," the AI Kirk said in front of a packed, multi-level auditorium. "I knew the risks of standing up in this cultural moment, and I'd do it all over again." The nearly one-minute clip ends with the fake Kirk saying, "Remember this, America is worth it. Free speech is worth it. Fighting for the unborn, for families, for sanity in a culture gone mad, it is all worth it. So, dry your tears, pick up your cross and get back in the fight. Do it with joy, do it with strength and never ever let evil think it won."
