Today we visited the office of our Congressman, @georgewhitesides.bsky.social. Our mission: to deliver this storybook from #MomsRising, which documents how vital Medicaid, SNAP, K-12 education, and other programs are to US families. Cutting this funding would be criminal.

This may be the most beautiful sign I have seen at one of these (even though the subject matter is so ugly). The artist who painted it said she started it feeling angry and it was therapeutic. Especially love the bling. #HandsOffLA

There are a group of photographers/ videographers taking pictures/talking to people. But they seem to be a RW instigators- heard one subject tell them to fuck off. And one is wearing this maybe bogus press pass. #HandsOffLA

Could not think of anything funny/clever for my sign today, so I just went with the basics. More than 800 people have registered for the Hands Off rally in Santa Clarita, which is a lot for what has been a pretty MAGA part of LA County. #MomSky
