Those of us doing real work on the ground here haven’t seen him anywhere. He doesn’t actually engage with activism here. He basically only shows up when someone invites him to speak, and gets upset when people ask more of him.
Talking online doesn’t equal actual work. That’s the whole point.

She’s actually got experience working campaigns here locally, has done enormous, measurable work protecting marginalized people here, and still lives in this country.

Yes, we have lots of Proud Boy activity here, some of which he has reported slightly inaccurately.
He was entirely unaware of the specific action surrounding his high school alum and suggested that @amybramble.bsky.social didn’t actually know where he went to school at all.

The point being made is that we all live in the same few miles of each other and they graduated from the same high school as each other, and yet he was totally unaware of the activists protecting kids from far right admins and Proud Boys at that same high school. That’s not on Wiki.

My bestie and her husband (a veteran) are sitting their kids down this week to educate them on military recruitment tactics, especially since their oldest is 16. Their kids are pretty left-leaning, but they live in a red area where the military is a common way out. It’s a heavy topic, but needed.

It’s easier to talk a big game online than to engage with experienced folks on the ground in good faith, and learn from people who have been putting their bodies on the line for years. Making speeches at Dem clubs is also easier.

Chris, this might be a good time to take a few minutes to learn about the extreme bigotry that used to fester within the administration at Los Al HS and the efforts taken to fight it by local community members. It’s important information to know if you want to represent that community.

It's also just terrible fucking strategy - Christian Nationalists live their entire lives convinced that they're the victims, and anyone who did that just gave them propaganda for free
