Anyway. High emotions at the court house with many supporters crying or frustrated that the judge can so clearly acknowledge the harms caused by the CDSA, and then find people who push back against the CDSA guilty.
If the law exists to protect people but people are dying, should the law change?

Pretty sure the 13MT figure includes both upstream and production emissions. It's from a 2020 report by the BC CCPA, pg 9:

"Increasing production for LNG Canada would add a total of 13 megatonnes per year, including the company’s estimate
of 3.96 megatonnes from the terminal itself."

To go electric, LNG Canada Phase 2 would likely need +550 MW

If it uses gas instead, the facility could generate 13 megatonnes of emissions per year - 1/5 of BC's total emissions profile in 2020 #bcpoli
