In the days after their reunion, Soaring was amazed at the city. But the Exarch was self conscious if she had truly accepted him as he currently was. Sensing his doubts, she turned towards him and took his hand and placed it on her cheek, "I will never deny your touch, my Raha."
The Exarch...Raha watched as his mate took in the sights of the city he helped build. He wanted to touch her, to hold her against him. To mark her with his scent so the entire Shard knew that she was his. But he was self conscious and unsure. The way she beamed at him made him feel like he was the young Miqo'te he once was...all those years ago...back in another world...another time...another life. Even with their recent mating bond, there was a part of him that wonder if she would still accept his the way he was, crystalized and all. Soaring sensed her Raha's uncertainty. That would not do. All those years apart had matured her. And she had come to realized that this was what fate had intended for them all along. As a worshiper of Nymeia and Menphina, she had to believe. So Soaring refused to let her Raha wallow in this self pity he allowed himself in. Soaring turned around towards her mate, intending to set the record straight. She sauntered over to him, her body just ilms away from his. She took his hand and placed it on her cheek. "I can feel you," she nuzzled into the rough crystals, "I will never deny your touch, my Raha." ------ Her actions and words washed away all of his doubts and uncertainties. It was as if a huge burden was lifted from his shoulders. Raha felt the warmth of Soaring's soul nested against his. And in this very moment, everything was right in the universe.

The Exarch paid no mind to the citizens gossiping about his love as he makes his way through the city to the Tower. His original plans were thrown out when Soaring ran into his arms. She is his inspiration, his hope...his love. So let history be unwritten another way. [fin]
The Exarch, carrying his love, makes his way through the Crystarium and towards the Tower's entrances. He passes many of the cities' residents, ignoring their many conversations about the situation. The Exarch continued his route back to the Tower. He stood briefly in the middle of the city. "This is the Crystarium. Where the Tower shines as the beacon of Hope for the people of this world. Just as we talked about...on those nights long ago. And maybe, you can be their beacon as well. Just like you are mine." The Exarch places a kiss on her cheek before resuming his walk towards the Tower. Both guards looked at each other as the Exarch walked up the stairs, carrying an unknown Mystel. Many questions flew through the right guard's mind, but devotion to the Exarch overruled the curiosity. So, the guard stood at his position without question. The Exarch stood in front of the majestic Tower doors. On the door, if one were to squint their vision, they could see just faintly, strides made a huge weapon. When he came up that sight when he woke up, Raha knew it was made by Soaring's Axe that night. Raha didn't know what was going to happen next. His original plan was thwarted when Soaring recognized him and ran into his open arms. Maybe it was stroke of luck that the wind blew that way. Or that his concealment magic failed. But deep down, he was happy that she found out. So let history be unwritten another way.
