But in all seriousness, I genuinely didn’t know that the mantle fight specifically locked the consoles up. I assumed that, since you could still backtrack after beating Tenna, you could always get the egg (they might lock up there too)

Do they actually? I didn’t know that.

I guess I always grabbed it before finishing the secret route stuff.

Unless you’re talking about the absolute final boss (and even then if you saved just before that, you should still be able to backtrack) you should still be able to get the egg

I honestly can't play triple A anymore because a lot of it just feels the same for each genre. They don't excite me nearly as much as they used to.

Don't get me started on price tags either.
