Ok. It's very early days but I've been learning my first song on the hurdy gurdy. Until today I'd just been doing scales etc. and I hadn't really done any learning of the trompette techniques (the rhythmic buzzing with each note)
I still can't believe I BUILT this thing as well.

It is finished! I finished building my Hurdy Gurdy! It sounds awful right now but with lots of tiny adjustments it will start to sound better soon

I am eyeing the finish line with my hurdy gurdy build. It's going pretty well so far. Need to sand it and lacquer it and install the hardware and I'll be pretty much done

Ok my task for the next week is to start building this - it's a kit to build a hurdy gurdy - a proper musical instrument. Looking at the box of parts is both exciting and intimidating but I'm pretty confident I can do it
