He/Him. A lot of bird stuff. Birdability Captain. Birdfy Ambassador. Neurodivergent. Ally. All photos are my own unless mentioned.
Proper stick placement is obviously very important. "You can help by staying out of the way".

I was close enough to Destin that my love for Gulls drew me to the coast to check out the gorgeous Gray Gull. This bird is usually only found on the Pacific Coast of South America and breeds in the Atacama Desert in Chile. Very cool vagrant.

It's herrrrreeee. Those 🐦 💩 shots you've been stashing in a folder? That twig perfectly in focus with the majestic barely identifiable raptor behind? Only had your flip phone from 2001? No problem! Head over to www.birdability.org/birdability-... for more info and to enter for free! #Birds

Birdability's Offbeat Photo and Feeder Video Contest is about to start. We're not looking for the "best", we want to be entertained. This contest will be free entry, and it's all about the story behind the shot. More information will be coming soon.

Nbd, just a Kelp Gull in Wisconsin that has a chick with an American Herring Gull. The usual kind of stuff.

Puffin mission accomplished. The second day came with 🌞 but also with pretty massive swells. A Tufted Puffin made an appearance as well. Not a bird I was expecting in the Atlantic.

I did this on the cheap. I relied on friends I've made in the birding world, my vehicle, and only stayed 3 nights in a hotel. (Other than bird shows). Some states I spent over a month, others only a day. Now for what's next🤷‍♂️

I'm in NJ for The World Series of Birding and had to stop in at the Ocean City Welcome Center to watch the herons and egrets show off. Phone camera, I think I may have got some footage with my big camera also.

This nationwide event celebrates accessibility and the joy of birding by ear. Whether you're an experienced birder or brand new to birding, this is a wonderful opportunity to get outside, connect with others, and enjoy the magic of migration.

Usually the big camera stays behind when it's foggy... but for Harlequin Ducks? Exceptions can be made.

Something about seeing a duck, posting a duck. These Common Eiders were way out, but the flock includes immature males, adult males, and females.

What an experience. The last time I saw a Snowy Owl, I was a child. Happy for the long lens to give this wonderful bird a lot of space.

A nice little Coastal Mississippi rarity flock. 2x Western Tanager, 2x Baltimore Oriole, and 1x Summer Tanager hanging out together. We also currently have Scissor-tailed Flycatchers and Western Kingbirds. Unfortunately the gulls have not arrived... yet.
