The nice thing is I re-evaluated the left page-side. The eye was right but the cheek and hair was off, so i fixed that with the value markers so the distortion shouldn't translate to the canvas

So a lot of the range in the pencil layer is lost. I could fix it by taking my graphite cube and darkening the whole piece slightly and then using my little paper stick smudger thingy (wtf are those called? I always forget) and blend the tone back out. I think I'll just start a second sketch tho

Idk if you saw my replies, but the pencil layer was feathered out. That smudgy muddy tone you are seeing is cuz I messed up on the softer darker graphite layer.
