Buck Bumble
This was way more enjoyable than I expected what the hell. Its a little tough to get used to, but it feels unique when you wrap your head around it. Fun and fast, but just dickish enough to have friction. Also why does this have lives at all you don't even get all your HP back

with pokemon it's interesting where the localization process is so aggressive and successful that inspirations get easily abstracted away. A few yrs ago ppl were shocked they'd make a kamen rider reference pokemon when you have wobbuffet right there, potentially inspired by a JP comedian lol

Eh I feel like it could be justifiable as a way to encourage exploration because they're not always that close by. But I think the game would be better if you just didn't drop costumes so you could have 1 key 1 costume. Feels like itd be cleaner design
