Countries toying with their democracies under rightwing extremist pressure need to take better notice. These people see lives and losses as nothing but numbers on a game map. Look at those numbers but then look more closely at how casually they are amassed. This is what fallen democracies look like.

Here is yet one more cost of autocratic rule. So many and so much can be thrown away without even hesitation. How many dead for one man's ego and protecting privilege of a few oligarchs? With no resistance. No consequences. Barely a shrug.

I have seen this a lot ... repainting the nazi's as socialists, not fascists. Then any decent person is suddenly a nazi and those driving fascist agendas are not. He is very purposefully reinterpreting language and symbols, just like his maga idol does.

Just can't ever tell why he speaks at all. We asked this person to negotiate with a gun to their head while we are murdering their family and friends, to negotiate about whether we would cut off their limbs or kill them. But they had no desire for these fair negotiations so we are not the problem.

Both are considered correct and acceptable in Canada. When you are left arguing about an S in recognise, you know they really, really have nothing. I would honestly like an honest and effective opposition party. It would make us stronger. These imposters are taking up a lot valuable airtime.
