I don’t think Disney owned the rights to the music for seasons 1-3 when they did Frontier. I think Shuki Levy did. Maybe they didn’t want to negotiate with him.

To be fair, Tri was reliant on Saban era continuity so keeping the dubisms made things less jarring. Let’s not forget Discotek’s efforts which sought to bridge the two distinct styles.

I agree with this and I’m tired of others trying to dismiss my opinion as me not wanting to learn about the Japanese language or culture. It’s about getting an equivalent experience to the original audience.

Both sound like dad jokes to me so I think they got it spot on. I’m sure there were plenty of Japanese rolling their eyes at the original joke.
