Dudes. I lost my job and went onto Facebook to aide in my job search. I was sucked in again! Doom scrolling! I don’t do that on here. Wtf! I’m starting a new job Monday. I hope to be back to reality.

I was let go today. I had a job offer today as well, but 5 12 hour days I don’t think I can do physically. I told my boss that likes me that I am your Mary Poppins. His son, the devil, made me a slave. I am an elite helper, not a dog. So weird working for two opposites.

Just made Celeriac for the first time. Yum! Definitely adding it to my repertoire. Vegan Butter garlic onions mushrooms and herbs sautéed together. A little Chicken broth too.

Gardening tip #124… Plants will grow on anything. Most anything can be free. In the past I’ve used a baby crib, a swing set, a fence next to a porch with a pole to the roof. I had roof cucumbers. I don’t know what this is but it was trash at my work. I thought a buck pole but that’s not it.

My uncle made me a little library but I have to seal it and finish it. I took the door off and have been hesitant for 4 months in painting the door but finally did more today. I am putting banned or controversial book titles on each. So far the jungle, handmade’s tale, and his dark materials.

I don’t believe in god but do believe in the universe working for you. I just googled “songs that stick it to the man” as the results came up with number 1 “fight for your right to party” a karaoke singer started this song. She is behind the pole. What a sign from nature!

Caprese salad, that I didn’t eat for lunch. Bed of “lettuce” is mostly basil but I added some home grown greens. Neighbor baked sourdough. I cut a slice into croutons and air fried it with garlic butter. Then Harissa cauliflower with edamame.

We need some produce, self sustination (I own that word now) and gardening in our feeds. What CAN we control. The soil around us. Where we fish. How we eat. Grow plants, eat what is around you. I have no foraging pics recently, sorry. It is doable in Winter though hard.

I smoked Tofu today. Marinaded in fresh orange juice, lime juice, salt, pepper, fresh marjoram, cumin, fresh garlic and oregano. Also smoked kale and asparagus. All successes. I then made a salad with strawberries and other veg. I used the marinade then as a dressing adding a tbsp of oil.

I just discovered Google Scholar. I “googled” where I can look up scientific studies, scholarly journals and factual science and this came up. I’m going to test it out as a go to instead of regular “googling”. Wikipedia has hundreds of sites for scholarly journals. I hope this helps consolidate them
