What if little bugs are trying to eat the fabric and your goal is to save it or keep it as intact as possible. You can cut around them to make them fall off and also sew bits back together that are only partially severed etc.

One more thing, if you use the Radial MB method you don't have to spin the wheels very fast as the material creates the illusion of spinning.

You may not get as severe artifacts from the global MB using this method but there will probably still be some.

The MB is calculated using the Velocity GBuffer so there may be a way to exclude a certain mesh from it but I haven't found any information about this anywhere.

Please let me know if you find a solution, would love to know. Seems like a massive oversight that there isn't an easy way to do this.

Unfortunately it don't think there is a simple solution to this.

Their is a 'Max Angular Velocity' value in the project settings that may help. You can also play with the 'Per Object Size' setting in the motion blur settings of the PP or camera settings to try and target the wheels
