Mmm... The thought of not having expectations for a game of this production value, from a company of these means and this caliber, and bearing the title of FF7, which is widely considered to be one of the greatest and most influential games of its time, is a bit silly to me.

"Needlessly bitchy" is pretty reductive. Considering the amount of work that went into making the game, the cost, the expectations they built up within us, etc, we SHOULD be expecting excellence. If nothing else, it's important to be critical about the things that you love.

So... We're all in agreement then? It's no secret that everyone hates the amount of bloat in the game. It's just the most obvious and easiest issue to point out, ergo it frequently comes up. It artificially inflates the amount of "content" in the game and ultimately wastes the players' time.
