Just your typical anti-social introvert dipping their toe into this "social media" thing.
I have a faint memory of Aaron Gordon doing something like this in college...but maybe I'm wrong. In any case I would suspect that if anyone else was going to do this it might be Wemby.

That's Bob Clark level of wild there.

Happy Birthday! My oldest sister's birthday was yesterday...as was her son's. I've always thought giving birth on your birthday is metal AF.

I've always deciphered s-tier as "superior". But I'm old so...

Hey! They were trying to surpass the '90s Bills. But they couldn't make it to the Super Bowl in order to lose it five times in a row.

Why would anyone bet the under with SF's defense in the state it's currently in? Honest question.

Not having seen it, I cannot offer an opinion. I do believe Oz the Great and Powerful is Overhated though.

Five straight division titles w/o a Super Bowl appearance not quite as impressive as losing four Super Bowls in a row, but...

Nicely done. Very James Ellroy of you...

More than "in the running". He had the role but the Magnum PI pilot resulted in a series pickup he was contracted to so he had to back out. Very similar to the Pierce Brosnan/James Bond/Remington Steele situation.

Sooooo hard to believe that a reputable publication like the latimes would publish this. So very very very very very very very hard.

Inconceivable!

Fittingly, so did Sly. His script for Rocky was great. He fought like hell and managed to get it made. Everything since has been a series of lurches downhill.

Sounds like someone who has done some great stuff and is so high on their own supply that they feel that their way is the only RIGHT way to do it. Sort of like how Sonnenfeld pronounced that no film needs to be more than 90 minutes long when MIB2 came out.

It's resting...or pining for the fjords. In either case, it's got BEAUTIFUL plumage.

All you need is a monocle and a diamond collar for the cat...

It's almost like Joshua took the money for the rigged fight but didn't like doing it so he took out his anger by breaking Paul's jaw on the way out. But I tend to disbelieve all CT so probably just wishful thinking on my part. Funny either way (the broken jaw part to be clear).

I find it to be a great double feature partner with Margin Call.

#1 for the week: Young Frankenstein.
#1 for the year: Blazing Saddles.

Mel Brooks was a machine. Reminds me of the fact that the year I was born saw the release of TWO James Bond films (in the US, anyway).

I was surprised to find out that it is longer from Asuncion to the Darien Gap than it is from the Darien Gap to Albuquerque. But it is...significantly longer so I guess he's more than halfway there.

Other than Marjorie Greene in her continuing attempts to clean up her reputation...not that I've seen.
December 15, 2025 at 7:04 PM
Not all, but close enough. American President and Ghosts of Mississippi were fairly well received and while The Bucket List was critically savaged, it did pretty good business. Hard to live up to that first 7 films streak though.

So the equivalent of in-his-prime Brian Griese?

I'd join in on the "it's got to be AI" crowd except...I've seen AI subtitling (or more accurately "voice to text" usage) on live sports broadcasts. It results in feverish gibberish throughout. One mistake sounds like a person didn't understand the "bitter herb" reference and "corrected" it.

I wonder how happy the UM athletic director was when he discovered his new coach who had averaged 8-4 over his first two years (after coming off a natty) was involved in an "inappropriate relationship" with a staff member and thus could be fired for cause. As happy as you discovering Biff Poggi?
