I'd really been struggling with connecting the last few dots in our skit. The themes of family, creation, betrayal, and especially of violence between father and son are so overt in LoP and yet I wasn't sure how to touch on that in a skit that features P and Sophia but omg DEL TORO OPENED MY EYES

I wanted to try something a little different for Nan Desu Kan this year and switch from cosplaying Yumeko from Kakegurui to Ririka. I already had a decent wig for it, so I slapped together a quick mask out of foam (not functional, maybe I'll make one later!) I'm pretty happy with the result 🃏♥️♦️♠️

I'm always running late to everything, so of course I'm late to celebrate the 15th anniversary of NieR 🦋 the stories and characters in this series are so heartfelt and real. I wish we could have a playable version of Reincarnation, the people need to experience their stories, too!

I 100%ed Coffee Talk Ep 2 this evening. This game made me realize how much I miss certain third places in my life: the late-night downtown coffee shop I frequented in high school, the boba shop I'd meet friends at every Friday night. Basically, a chill place where you could find a friendly face ☕️🌃🦋

My one 🤔 is that some of the kitsuke is a little off? In the below screenshot, you can see the geiko on the left who is dressed immaculately and the woman on the right has some 🙅♀️ (collar isn't quite laid properly, gap in the front of her obi, and her ohashori in the back is pretty rough)

I've been watching The Makanai: Cooking For The Maiko House and it's very charming. It's really enjoyable to watch so far, but of course, I love seeing all the traditional aspects of living in an okiya, wearing kimono, working as a maiko and geiko, etc etc etc.

Today's Evangelion episode is my absolute favorite in the entire series: Episode 6, Showdown in Tokyo-3. To me, this is a perfect capsule and we get to see all the things that make NGE so great: robot battles, great production design, world building, great character work.

I watched Evangelion for the first time when I was 14 - since then, I've revisited it frequently, always gleaning something new. A friend asked me if I'd cosplay from it for an upcoming con and coincidentally, another friend asked about my opinion of EoE, so what better time to dive back in?

I enjoy all their sweet little conversations together. The Amazon Trio have a very touching arc (and I appreciate the level of gender fuckery that our dear Fisheye brings.) And this season definitely has the best accessories, with the Kaleido Scope and the Stallion Rêve (I want one so bad 🤣)

Getting to do this presentation in these costumes was honestly a high point in my cosplay career. Hearing the gasps as Bunny uncovered my wings and the applause as they extended is a cherished memory. The tears I started to cry on stage were very real!! 🪽💙
