I invested in Gander! I hope to become a media mogul. :)

As much as I like sunny days, (and I do), I much prefer months of stygian darkness that legions of the undead would run from.

"inhale, exhale" contented sigh. This is much better than looking at the news :)
From Fall 2023, my first view of Bryce Canyon's surreal hoodoos combined with a forest of Bristlecone Pines, Ponderosa Pines, and Douglas Firs at Rainbow Point.

Holy cow, the MotoGP in Indonesia was wild and crazy!! Geez, Bezz, did you have to?

So, this happened. I wish I could say I was doing something exciting like riding a Honda in the MotoGP, but the reality is that I tripped while scurrying to catch a bus. Oh, the ignominy of it all! 😊😒😋

To keep riding, or ...wait, what was the question? Oh yes, or to buy a Can Am ;)

Hi all, I'm not sure how much longer I will keep this account. There's a Canadian site coming called Gander (fingers crossed) and when that rolls out, I'm moving there; away from meta for certain. There's only so much time in a day :)

Hiking is hard and dangerous, but the views around here can be pretty great!

(NB: I absolutely did *not* hike this mountain. I barely enjoy walking on flat ground. This photo is from North Shore Search and Rescue, Aug. 2, 2025)

It's been a little over a year since I lost my partner. I miss that big idiot. Maybe more now than I did last year, because last year the grief was all consuming, & I believed that if I could just wake up, he'd be there. I realized this week that I still hope he'll return, that it's a mistake.

Do you know what ATGATT means? Are you looking for a motorcycle helmet that doesn't give you a headache, or chipmunk cheeks?
Here's an excellent video on choosing the right helmet for your head. youtu.be/ZtUlepiZgEg?...

NB- I'm just sharing, so asking me questions isn't going to get you anywhere

You can have an opinion, no matter how stupid/ignorant it is, but I don't have to/no one has to listen to it. :)

It's not invasive, it's evolution. *We* just happen to be the agents of evolution - bringing bugs, flora and fauna to new locales. Just because they are new, & doing better than the ones we grew up with, doesn't make them invaders. They didn't come here on their own to make havoc.
