World of Darkness (2004) is my go to ttrpg. Between growing up in the foothills Appalachia and hearing stories passed down from my Irish/Scottish ancestors, it only feels right to use a system that addresses the shadows that walk hand in hand with us.

From my experience, it stemmed from parents/grandparents who lived through the Cold War in hate filled, willful ignorance or served in the military hellbent on labeling something as "the enemy" to strip the humanity from those trying to help society. I'm trying to educate myself and break the cycle🥺

-ours to tell. Not alone, regardless. Stand together and hold fast against the darkness that looms on the horizon, even if the candle you keep is something as small as a group of cosplay friends and the tales we tell together. You're not alone.

Revolution isn't always a sweeping gesture or a war against tyrannical forces. It's helping your community. It's refusing to give up hope. It's lifting up voices who would otherwise be silenced because their stories disturb those who have sat in power and comfort for far too long. It's not always

Likewise, much to the befuddlement of my roommate who wasn't on the app. I hope those politicians realize what's going to happen when their positions are up for election..
