My current favorite is the kinglet. When I first moved to the twin cities my cat would trill at these brave little guys who would come right up to the glass all winter.
When I lived in Pueblo, we had a flock of Scaled Quail that visited us every morning. The burrowing owls were fascinating too.

I also made Pumpkin Mac and Cheese. This is my favorite take on the recipe for the holidays. A pretty easy recipe overall. Just watch out to not burn the sage while infusing the butter. And don’t go overboard with the nutmeg.

I made cranberry sauce. It’s simple. It’s flavorful. And it’s so easy to modify to make it your own. I add orange slices and cinnamon sticks to mine.

Surfacing long enough to post the latest. My mental health has been kind of trash lately. I’m in trauma therapy after another suicide attempt. Getting back into painting and creative work is really helping me move forward again. That and meds lmao. The scissors are not part of the final composition.

I've been working on new recipes lately. Cooking lets me create. That small act helps me feel some amount of control. I never made Potato Shakshuka before. I think I might have been a bit hasty with the eggs. They sunk. Still tasty though.
