The claim lacks important context about the surge in new claims following the PACT Act, which enabled a large number of affected Veterans to apply for benefits for the first time. This surge caused a backlog increase, which is decreasing as claims are processed at normative rates.

The damage being done by this administration will take decades to repair, some it will never be undone. It’s sickening.

Capitalism relies on twisting science and statistics. It fails every test with the barest of scrutiny. But by misrepresenting experts, capitalists steal the authority of academics to sway public opinion, and present consumers a reality where business can continue as usual without killing the planet.

Absolutely, but when elected politicians think snow disproves climate change, it can be partially due to people still clinging to the general belief that climate change is purely “warming.” So it’s semantics, but from a messaging viewpoint “climate change” is better terminology than “global warming”

Doesn’t this help frame the importance of contextualizing climate change as extreme variance from norms, not relying on the “global warming” description? Yes the planet is heating up, but the results are not so cut and dry on a local scale. Destabilization of the polar vortex being a huge factor.

What’s scary is how many young men and women were radicalized by the Alt-Right pipeline prior to, or during, military service. Many may now be NCO’s or even Officers. This has been a decades long effort in preparation for the stars to align for Republican ascent to fascism, with military backing.
