In general though, I'm pretty anti-prosecutor and the entire saga just gave me the vibes of typical prosecutorial bullshit. It's really common to get stuck in jail for years with no real evidence against you just as a way to get you to plead out so they can pad their numbers.

I'm not saying it's impossible for chris-chan to have committed the crime. Given her history of lying and psychosis, it would probably be pretty hard (although not impossible) to get a conviction based solely on her own statements. We don't know what other evidence the state may have had.

I don't know if the plea itself is publicly available but even a guilty plea wouldn't mean much to me. Prosecutors love to drag people through the system and after two years in jail for a crime you didn't commit you'd probably plead guilty too in order to get a deferred disposition.

Sadly the court documents are largely sealed. I haven't kept anything myself it was a long time ago. Even worse, a lot of the investigation was done by kiwifarms. The cwcki has a reasonably accurate timeline afaik, albeit with misgendering. The charges were dismissed via deferred disposition.

i followed the chris-chan case and it was entirely prosecutorial abuse. the only “evidence” they had for rape was testimony from chris-chan herself, which wouldn’t be enough to secure a conviction especially considering chris-chan makes shit up all the time
