Yeah, the initial tease prior to all of the racism seemed simple: custom emulation frontend. But they absolutely lost the plot when they started talking about it as an entire social messaging platform with a store and achievements.

Octopath gets overlooked a lot because of the mixed opinions on the art style, but the games are very well put-together artistically, especially in the music department.
