The PCs can coordinate together to make the most out of their abilities - like knocking an enemy into the path of an ally's attack. In other situations, this might also include off ledges, or into other environmental hazards. Or each other.

Been upgrading my camera code a bit. Now I've got this smooth transition between open spaces and narrow corridors.

Also testing out Godot's geometry tools and using distance fade material properties to hide the room's external faces if the player is in or near.

The combat prototype is done, barring some bug fixes and polish, I think. Battles can be played from start to finish, win or lose. Barebones in terms of content, but complete in terms of basic functionality.

Progress! The new UI is looking nice, but it still needs a bunch of tuning. Characters now have a "cooldown" overlay on their portraits, and separate health bars are finally (!) in.

I am really struggling to find a nice, readable font though.

Quick update with a higher-res recording! UI is almost fully implemented. Gotta make actual health bars though.

The D-Pad cycles through different menus. 8 slots per category per character = two "pages" of buttons for each, drawn from the character's stats sheet/gear loadout.

This is how it's going, by the way! Playing around with particles a bit for different kinds of abilities, but combat is looking so good (comparatively)!

Need to add indicators as to which PC is selected and if they are on cooldown. And locate the source of the ghost messages.

Properly wrote the combat backend, and it went mostly smooth. Now a central bus controls all the signals flying around during combat to keep it orderly.

Didn't count on the just-for-fun notification in-game system being the thing that tripped me up with messages from ghosts.
