Well if this lasts 15 years too I guess I’ll be snoozer when I’m old.
Nobody should _ever_ take a dip into the Willamette around Portland. A bit of sewage on the top is nothing compared to the rest of the crap in there.

No, but I do find myself wondering why it's so hot in December and if the constant dumping of CO₂ into the atmosphere will ever end.

How soon we forget Bank of America's fraud during the 2008 financial crisis, stealing money _and_ houses from families (like mine).

They learned their lesson because of this “historic settlement” right? Maybe, but they also still have the money they stole from me.

In 2021, I paid about 11.5¢/kWh. Now I pay 17.3¢/kWh.

Most of the rate increase goes to pay higher wildfire insurance costs. I shouldn't pay 50% more for power so a utility that's digging up coal can afford insurance.

Instead, let's tax coal production to fund renewables and climate programs.

Exploding shenanigans happen. 003 is standing over a smoking pile of debris. The dead bad guy clutches a small black box. 007 appears, opens the box, revealing an extra-large diamond. 003 shoots 007 a quizzical look, "Aren't you dead?"
007 pockets the diamond, grins back at 003.

Funny how he always seems to know everything about what the Democrats are doing, but hasn't been informed about anything the Republicans are doing.

Please include data on how many people are disenfranchised by federal 'election monitors' or other groups that intimidate or manipulate voters. One wonders how many people will be arrested while attempting to vote.

In the old days we named bad behavior, flames, trolls, etc., and figured out how to grow the culture. The sysop would ban you if you were a dick. In the 00s, the new platforms wanted users and didn’t care about culture. They got rid of sysops; no ban=no consequences. So It’s playground rules now.

I think people with investment portfolios valued over some amount, say, 1000× minimum wage (~$15M), should pay progressive wealth taxes up to 95% above 50,000x (~$800M).

You still can be filthy rich, but at some point, it's time to become a philanthropist or pay it out in taxes.

Also, uncap FICA.

Gas: $3 × 14 gallons = $42 and 350 miles

EV: 18¢ x 75 kWh = $13.50 and 325 miles

So instead of paying 5x as much as EVs, you're saying gas cars now only pay 3x as much now. Great!

Did also they fix the problem where you die if you run your gas car's engine in the garage with the door closed?

It's a bribe contingent on electing a Trump-friendly gov't. Money won't help Argentina, only electing a responsible government will.

The money comes from draining the emergency $20B fund established to prevent another 2008-style financial crisis. Using it leaves us without a safety net.
