There are so very affluent areas in Kent and Thanet. One thing not mentioned is turnout. 2 areas of Thanet turnout was 22 and 29 per cent

But I don’t see anybody mentioning turnout which in Kent is very low. Some wards as low as 22 per cent.
In the past journalists have always stressed the low turnouts but I just haven’t heard it this time. Or have I missed it?

I think it’s so obvious that the people with real money in this country ie the ones who funded Brexit are for the past several months going all out to ensure (in their own minds) that Farage is the next PM.
Look at the daily news coverage of Reform so no surprise they have over taken Labour.

I am feeling the same but I have cut right back on watching the news anyway this past 6 months because of the daily attacks against the first Labour government in 14 years which is obviously traumatising the RW journalists who represent the majority of our media.

I am no expert and just guessing here but possibly the one they have just done with China? I think there has to be some advantages otherwise Labour would have gone full on for rejoining Customs Union not to say that might happen in the future if Trump is a disaster for UK which wouldn’t surprise me

To be fair to Keir he started improving our relationship with the EU leaders as soon as he was elected, only interrupted by the riots.
I think it is a softly softly approach but he also realises there are opportunities for GB to strike advantageous deals with countries outside of the EU.

It has made every person in the UK much poorer and is connected to some of the cuts Starmer is having to make now which are so unpopular. If only journalists would make Farage OWN his mess but it never happens.
