I fear whatever civil engineering horror lies beneath this tiny patch of snow.
A fist-sized clump of snow with 20 or so small marker flags stuck in it, some saying “underground cable” and others “gas line.” My deaf dog Albus at the end of his leash, sniffing the suspiciously over-flagged snow clump.

Bonus: when I asked why the logo was a pineapple, it doubled down in a different direction, linking to how pineapples became a symbol of southern hospitality.

Got my first actual completely fabricated lies from Google’s AI results.
Google AI results for “Why is Handbrake logo like that?” They respond: The Handbrake logo is designed to resemble a typical “handbrake” lever found in cars, with a handle-like shape and a clear pulling motion, reflecting the software’s function of “pulling” data from a video file to compress and convert it into a smaller, more manageable format; essentially “braking” the video size down. The link associated goes to the Wikipedia page for Vehicle Handbrakes. The future continues to be amazing. Had the HDD on the left fail, and bought a new drive while waiting for Backblaze to send the contents (which is also incredible). The SSD on the right is half the size, twice the capacity, and cost the same as the left did when I got it.
Two external hard drives and the poster’s hand, demonstrating the size comparison in the post. The old larger drive is about the size of the entire hand minus fingers. The new smaller drive is about as large as the meaty part of the hand’s palm which connects to the thumb.

Not the most controversial take given it’s on most Top 100 of All Time lists, but

Howdy everybody! I suppose I should make a first actual post. A few weeks ago, my partner, their brother, and I went to the North Shore of Lake Superior and it was the prettiest place I’ve ever been in my life, full stop.
