Sure, but if we fight the French again in the Americas, control of the Ohio River will be key...

The child benefit trial showed the data isn't going anywhere, I think? They were stopping the benefit for people who booked trips but didn't travel.

But secondly, it would presumably need more data to be collected anyway, for purpose of travel?

I'm sure there was an instance where the cross repelling vampire things was about believing in it. I can't remember what boo/ film/ TV series it was - the theme was atheists were screwed but believers where fine as long as they had a symbol of their faith, regardless of faith.

It is also, I think, interesting to revisit the Rwanda policy - very frustrating at the time that Labour's objections seemed to be about VfM and practicality rather than morality... but it now seems like actually Starmer probably wasn't that opposed to it, beyond not thinking it would work?

And I don't think it is an argument than people believe, which in turns means that the narrative for what they are doing here falls apart.

Which is at the centre of a lot of what Keir's Labour is struggling with - what is it actually for and why is it really doing what it is doing?

Between this and the Epstein we mails, it has been a week of demonstrating how unimportant being able to write is in advancement.

The policy of providing sufficient sick pay so people didn't feel they had to go into work when ill?

No?

Oh.

The best corrective for that I've found is by being on a football club forum.
You get people engaged perfectly rationally about football, then in an off topic post ranting about a global conspiracy to send all refugees to the UK, and actually we can legally throw them out of planes over Paris etc.

One of the biggest current technological changes is basically driven by people who seem to think sad, lonely lives are the norm.

I couldn't tell you the guy's name without checking either, and I care far too little about either to put that minimal amount of effort in 🙂

And the other half of it is his wife, also on the basis of being in the band?

My take away from the article is that Reverend and the Makers biggest fan works for the Guardian.

Also the second couple appear to be extremely tall in that photo, or I'm struggling with the perspective.

As an additional data point, Ireland seems to get the majority of their asylum seekers via the UK.

So some do move on from the UK but to a further out destination, not 'backwards' into mainland Europe?
FactCheck: how many asylum seekers are entering Ireland via the UK and what does it mean for Rwanda?
The Irish justice minister says more than 80% of asylum applicants are coming from Northern Ireland.

Isn't this like wondering why everyone who gets off at the final stop on a train line wants to be at the final stop and not at one of the earlier ones?
Most have already got to a destination, only the ones who want to gotl to the UK keep travelling.
