I just did a search in WaPo and can’t find the article.

I can’t find the article on WaPo. Did they remove it? Was it ever there?

What a classless piece of shit.

I went through it all. Horrific anxiety ramped up in early 50s. It crippled me. I’ve been so even-keeled all my life, I didn’t know how to handle it. Went to my family doctor - a woman - “don’t worry about it, get some CBT”.
This book helped. I should give one to all lady friends of a certain age.

I’ve been there. But normally my impression is more of an outward explosion rather than collapsing inward.

Excellent! Thanks.

Where is this? It looks like there are a lot of rainbow ornaments, and I am on the lookout for them as gifts!

Well, of course I'm going to say that you should come to Berlin. We have MANY! Plus, we have OTHER things to do. And to see! And lovely people to meet! It's been a while since I've seen you and Mr. Claire.

Nice. I learned something today. Thanks!

May I then suggest another Berlin musical treat? Babylon shows silent films with a live orchestra. Really nice experience! Book the balcony boxes.

Please explain mirlitons to me. I’m sure I could Google it, but I bet you tell me better than G can why it should be experienced and the reason it must be on the T-Day menu.

Welcome back to der Schland. It just isn't the same without ya!

Printers are a racket. I knew they were a racket the first time I got one home and learned that a power cord didn’t come with the unit standard. Add the bullshit cartridge situation, and we see the problem. When the consumables cost more than the original product… it is a racket.

I have cats. Even printers that are kept covered get gummed up with cat hair/dander eventually. This workaround has saved me a lot of money and time.

If I just need to print a two-page form, I go to the Internet shop, .60 cents later, I walk out with my pages.

If I am printing photos, iron-on transfers, on special paper, or many sheets, I go to a print shop. USB/mail/upload in some way to the physical printer on my own, and pay by the print. These places keep better printers than I can afford, and I love them for that.

Here in the Hauptstadt there are plenty. Your mileage may vary. Look for an “Internet Shop”, or a serious copy shop. The real printer/copy shop will have a different process.

My use case may be different, I rarely need to print (once a month or so). But I've found it liberating to email what I need to print to a local copy shop, pick it up during my normal errands, and pay minimal money.
