The lobotomy earned the Nobel Peace Prize in 1949. There was a van (sometimes called the Lobotomobile) that would go around giving lobotomies. Walter Jackson Freeman II, owner of the aforementioned van, performed an estimated 3,000-4,000 lobotomies on patients as young as 4. Details below.
