Yes, this is pretty much my view: economic arguments are prey to the whole take-it-or-leave-it transactional view of Europe. In fact we're bound by a shared history (#WeAreEU) & the EU is our best opportunity to make good on it. ( @mikegalsworthy.bsky.social )

True. We’ve had an EV since 2017. It’s a humble Renault Zoe, 22kWh with a 70-90 mile range. We’ve done 76500 miles in it and the battery is still around 97% good. There’s no excuse for not having an EV today, the only difference is the emissions one generates in the meantime.
