as a literal previous addict who has since avoided all gacha games for many years now, this issue is extremely important to me and i wish it was discussed more instead of dismissal talk like "but just dont spend money bro!" these games are inherently manipulative by design and its downright evil

when i was shopping for GPU, i was deciding between 7900 xtx and 4080. 4080 was $200 more for not much more performance uplift (if any) outside of RT (which wasnt even necessarily drastic) and had much less vram

and with amd pulling out of the high end gpu market, nvidia is going to be able to have a field day with pricing and lowered specs than could be given to us if good competition was available. case in point nvidia insisting on 8gb or 12gb vram in the year of our lord
