This is not a surprise. Social-democrats have historically always betrayed the labor movement at key points: they sided with national bourgeoisies in WW1 and WW2, provided reformist distraction to the revolutionary mood in the 60s, participated enthusiastically in the neoliberalism of the 90s, etc.
1. Researching this week’s column, I felt that I understood at last just why, on so many issues – benefits, Gaza, environmental and planning laws, anti-protest laws, bank deregulation, fiscal rules etc - Labour is out-Torying the Tories. Why it has become so cruel, so destructive and so spineless. 🧵

So we now have a new image format, great for web delivery, that is supported in Microsoft Windows, the Apple platforms, Linux distros, Adobe tools etc, but _not_ in the Chrome browser.

Alban Fichet and I published a method for lossy compression of spectral images, i.e. images with 1 channel per wavelength 🌈.

Alban Fichet and I published a method for lossy compression of spectral images, i.e. images with 1 channel per wavelength 🌈.
