Because admission is ‘public’ i.e open to any pupil not just those in the local area - subject to affording the fees and passing an entrance exam, of course.

You’re doing amazing work. I’m (lazily) letting them find their own food in my garden. Both Ms Brown & Mr Black seem to be thriving and returning, though maybe with less interaction.

That was my ‘gateway’ too. Over 20’years ago. Someone left it on my bookshelf and I wanted to sit by the river, the Thames, on a sunny day. So I grabbed it, and entered a whole new world. Just magical.
