We've had muzak and art to fill space for hundreds of years, and AI has reached that point and stopped. Sure, it's neat that I can ask a robot to spit out an incredibly generic anime girl, very cool, but it does no part of the process better than a human, it's just quick

And even with clothing, woodworking, whatever, people like the soul of handmade and personalised products that's never really been replicated in manufactured goods, they just need functional tool. Art isn't a functional tool, though, it's all about soul

The other problem is that, with 2-4 new characters every month, you can't use mechanics fully. You won't have good teams in fire, water, etcetera, and if an electric character brings a new mechanic, it's exclusive to them for possibly years

In Nikke, I treat it as resource management: I need this much to reliably buy collaboration and seasonal units, I'd like to keep this many pity tokens for 1% banners, I need this much because Delta's alt is coming. It takes thought, but it's simple maths so it's mostly a question of whether to pay
