As an english major, I hated taking a required statistics course outside my major at university. I can’t count the amount of times it later helped me navigate clinical research and decipher medical journals when I became diagnosed with a rare disease. You never know what becomes useful in life.

libsyn has been pretty great for hosting over the years. there may be better ones out there that have cropped up recently, but they were good and simple when I started, and nothing has ever motivated me to change.

The los angeles public library was great about this, stretching back to the patriot act & prob even earlier. was super proud to work there. some patrons got irked by it because they wanted to know what book they read 3 years ago, & I was like: but trust me, u dont want the govt to know what u read

oh shit! I had this little robot. was bummed I never had a teddy ruxpin, but ended up liking this way more once I got my hands on it. hope you enjoy it

DK Jr. was a big one for me too. Played a ton of it as a kid at the YMCA after school. It was that, Pitfall on a friend’s Atari, and finally Kung Fu on the NES (before SMB launched) that really locked me in.
