Reminds me of his 2025 $45M military parade (which was supposed to cost only $25M) where he claimed million of fans were going to come watch and wish him happy b-day, and it turned out to be an embarrassingly silent procession and only a few thousand people (many paid to attend or were journalists).

Agreed. ANY fresh set of eyes can catch any potential mistakes that the writer missed, or be able to point out inconsistencies (esp. if the book has taken YEARS to publish and the author forgets some of the original material, as happened to JRR Tolkien with his LOTR universe, for instance).
