Well you made me so excited about Burning Sky

Saint Mars of the Desert's IPAs are excellent and tend to be unclassifiable (in a good way) - usually hazy but nothing like the normal NEIPA profile. Burning Sky too, with a focus on Belgian-style dryness (and also excellent)

I kept seeing David Brent in him - the mixture of vanity and neediness, the little giggles to cue his audience to laugh, the awful innuendos. Even the smug little grin straight down the camera, brrr

I haven't been in a while but The Pelt Trader used to be excellent. I think the new Aldgate Tap is the same people (bloomsbury leisure) and is probably up to the same standard

A little bit of a walk but The Pride of Spitalfields is a really excellent trad boozer. I've not been to the new Kill the Cat (they've moved) - the old one was almost painfully crafty but also fun and punky.

Not beery but Chez Elles over that way is excellent for food too

Ixta Belfrage's tuna ragu takes 15 minutes and is genuinely one of the nicest things I've ever eaten. I omit the cream most of the time and you can add/remove the chili to taste (I implore you to include the scotch bonnet)

Dota is crazy - I was a mediocre player if I was concentrating and played with good players a handful of times, and I could see that there was a huge gulf between me and them, but I couldn't begin to understand what it was made of.

I'm absolutely on board with constraints making better art, but I think the phenomenon in the quoted tweet started before the streaming era. Lost and Heroes spring to mind as examples

you've probably got an itinerary sorted but if you can you should check out The Brick - it's owned by the Evening Star people but slight less pubby and with a focus on lager (including Czech side pull taps!)
