I worked at Waldenbooks while I was in college. My husband worked at/managed a Suncoast for 20+ years. (Back in the days before e-books and streaming) 📖 📼

It may depend on the state, but in my state the legislature reduces the budget by whatever amount the lottery $$ was that cycle. Result is not more money for schools, just the same amount as before but funded differently.
