This game has put me through the fucking wringer, but I still love Billy Hatcher. I don't know if learning the speedrun or casually hundo'ing took a greater toll on my soul, but I'm glad I've done both and I hope to speedrun it more. So much charm and expressive movement. GOOD MORNING

A more recent love. I'm in the middle of playing Metaphor so I'll put this as my JRPG contribution. The JRPG for people who really hate visual novels and just want to explorer and fight. It's a freeform sandboxy JRPG with so much to discover and love. Banger OST too.

My favorite story in a video game, Ghost Trick. Fun, simple puzzle gameplay with a banger OST, aesthetic, and killer plot and characters. Doesn't miss a single beat along the way, absolutely enthralling to this day. Pick this up on Steam, one of the few good DS ports. A must play.

I'll forever sing the praises of Drill Dozer. Replayed it recently for RetroAchievements and it still holds up (give or take the hard mode and the secret codes needed). I'm forever sad that GameFreak is just a pokemon factory, and not even a great one at that, their original games are peak.
