there's so much possible ai use in this one public video

the problem with ai in animation is it can overshadow actual artists

some were easy to find, like @catatouillensfw.bsky.social

others like fiverr.com/elite_drawing were hell to find, and i'm not even sure if i found the right artist

the backgrounds are suspect

the artist, waywardghost, was credited around episode 2 and we started getting these very simplistic backgrounds around the same time

some of the backgrounds are from stock websites, which are infamous for their use of ai and copyright infringement

kat is voiced by fiverr.com/ashleetodd

kana is voiced by emmy northstar, @SlaveHypnoSlut on twitter

not sure on their ai stances

either way work is work, and despite kaavfx's ai use, this is still a job done by actual people

it isn't until 2:09 that we get 100% not ai animation

fiverr.com/footeiktan is the animator

apparently @lostinspirals.bsky.social did khana, and their voice is amazing

never heard of them before this, and they weren't mentioned in the youtube description

oh look, at 1:24 i found an ai generated smear frame

and another one at 1:50 and another at 1:51

it looks like several of the in betweens of the more detailed animations are altered with ai

14 seconds in, kat's eyes show classic ai distortion

in fact she has the ai eyes the entire animation as far as i can tell

at 1:10 and 1:19 the eye examples are very easy to see

i think it would be easier to figure out at what point kat isn't ai

the actual art being used in the video is impressive at times

there are parts where i can't find a single trace of ai distortions or editing

although it is still very disrespectful to use ai along side such art at all imo, the actual art is good

something i failed to mention in my previous set of posts was the voice work of those involved in the project

none of them show signs ai use, and most even impress me

i will say it is a bit disrespectful to your kaa va to use edited lines from the original film however for the miniadventures

the picture to the left shows what i mean about kats hair

kara shows almost no signs of these distortions

her ear may have referenced ai work, but it is clear kara was likely illustrated by an actual artists for the most part

kat on the other hand is 100% using ai generation for her picture

i will leave this post off with a simple point

it is good kaavfx is using less ai and hiring more actual people

good for the actual artists, voice actors, and the like

but i would prefer no ai use more than some ai use
