Great series, thanks for sharing! Otters are fascinating to watch. I have been lucky enough to see some playing in local rivers. Would love to see you do deer as well 🙂

I also heard a local story about a supposedly open grave, which folk would dare each other to row out to the island at night & look into. If they couldn't see a skeleton inside it meant that it was up & roaming around the island with them! 💀

Amazing illustrations, too! Love the happy neepie lantern in this one!

I think too many people feel the need to mark places and leave something behind. They're thinking about what looks good for photos and what they want to do, not about how to respect and preserve the places they visit. There's no consideration for their actions.

I visited Neist Point on the Isle of Skye last year and there were hundreds of them, covering the entirety of the land from the lighthouse down to the sea. It felt very eerie & hollow. The landscape was completely changed.

I am enjoying having a guide to work from though. It's keeping me focused and helps my writing momentum. But I am also anticipating the point where my brain will add something random into the story and create chaos. Last time it was a sassy magical broom... 🤷‍♀️
