Kelvingrove gallery is excellent. Pot Still was busy but good. Inn Deep for sours (or not) and a view of the river. My friends love the Bon Accord.

Black Sheep used to produce a beermat where the sheep's nose protruded out sideways. Terry, the late landlord of the Black Bull in Boroughbridge, was so sick of picking these fragments off the floor, that on receiving a new batch, he would painstakingly snip all the noses off first.

Some years ago when we used to have annual work trips to Chester Races, we would always call at the Union Vaults, a proper backstreet old skool boozer with bar billiards and Everard's Tiger, and the Old Boot, Sam Smith's with plastic pint pots on race days. Reminiscences rather than recommendations!
