It's all designed to keep us choking, so we keep eating one meal a day because that's what we can afford, so we are malnourished, stressed out, & on all the drugs that we have to spend all our extra money on, and all out extra time "proving" we're in need, when all we ever want is to not be in need.

All I asked for was $1,000. All I asked for last month was $1,500. Today's ask was the lowest they'll allow. They do have a secured credit card, but that's predatory, and if I had the dough to secure a secured card, I'd use it for smarter things.

They took all of my fucking spoons, left me in tears, and provided me with no answers, because they kept transferring me to people "who could help me".

So I called the bank, to figure out how to get out of that cycle, how to make my life better at 50, with no knowledge of how to make that scammy credit score thing work for me.

I asked for a small personal loan. Very small. The bank wouldn't even know it was missing, or feel the interest payments on the loan, but it was enough to keep me from being in fight-or-flight as the month wears on and work is scarce. I was declined, to the surprise of nobody.
